EPISODE 13: NEWS: MARK SUTTON WILL SERVE AS MC FOR THE OBAMA FOR CHANGE PARTY IN WASHINGTON D.C. ON JANUARY 19

 

Heading to DC for the Inauguration, but not sure what to do? This is a great party on Monday night, for a great price: $85. The Obama for Change Inauguration Party will be a celebration for Obama volunteers, organizers, and field staff. Open bar from 9-11pm, music late into the night. And all hosted by Liberal Arts host, Mark Sutton!

Also featured will be Obama Music Arts and Entertainment winner Lady D and Mission. The event, at Zanzibar On The Waterfront, is being filmed as part of an Obama staff documentary. So come be a part of history!

Jazz trumpet legend Freddie Hubbard passed away on Dec. 29, 2008. He was famous as a composer, bandleader, and one of the all-time great improvisers. His brassy, clear tone and technical virtuosity was heard on a number of classic jazz albums in the 60s and 70s.


Listen as Al Franken declares victory over Norm Coleman at his home in Minneapolis. Coleman responds, "Not so fast" and contests the election with thousands of pages of legal mumbo jumbo. The case could be tied up for months. (Video from The Uptake.)
